Gluebook, July 2015, first 10 days.

Each of these "gluebook" pages is created in less than 5 minutes without any thought about outcome.  After the images are glued down and it feels finished I look for a message.  These are my findings.

 Don't go another day, week, month or year without finding and harnessing your passion.  Whatever it is, hold on to that while letting go of things, people and behaviors that do not behoove you.

 To be brain healthy, keep learning and firing those synopses which I see as the precious jewels of our brains. Out of the primordial soup of our thoughts come the tadpoles of ideas that will grow into our brilliance.


 Sacred. This page is for my Mother born 103 years ago on this day, July 3. She was an avid knitter and created so many wonderful sweaters, dresses, suits, coats and a multitude of gifts and household items.  She was 83 when she passed and had been creating fabric arts since the age of 8.


 Step onto the Path and become awakened! Allow nature to teach you what you need/want to know.



 I recently called home all my shadows or "Demons", whom are now known as "Moonbeams".  After that action, I thought to myself; "What have I done?", and fear set in.  However, since the Strawberry Moon my Moonbeams arrived, I have found them to be a true gift that I didn't know I wanted.






 Harmony! I am feeling peace and harmony within myself.  I feel like I am truly enjoying this life I am living.

 Mysterious. I am good with whatever comes.  I don't need to know every thing. I am not in control. I can only respond to my life. 


 Indulgent Care. It is up to me to take really good care of myself. To find relaxation and nurture whenever I can, to the best of my ability.


 Learning to Let Go Gracefully! This is bursting bubbles that are only illusions and finding true heart and meaning for me.  Letting go of whatever is not in alignment with my soul.

 Awakened. Coming out of the dessert of the Ego.  Turning Inward, caring for the physical body and waking the soul.

I hope that you are enjoying these posts. I want to thank the artists that have provided all the images that I use from magazines, books and the internet.

Creating Personal Retreats an Online Workshop

The Entrance This is week three, Contemplation!  So the front side of our Retreat House is done, mostly, I can see where I would like to add more personally meaningful additions here and there. I'm taking this Online Workshop with Cathryn Antyr, the collagediva . I did another workshop with Cathryn and was very pleased with the details of instruction and the photos which guide you along and this workshop is no different.  I beleive that through this work I am finding balance in my life which was sorely needed. First Panels My artistic blossoming is depicted by a Louts flower.  Each petal reflects an aspect I am working on.  I also added that while I am doing this work I will allow myself to gently unfold but at the same time allow exploration while holding close to what has heart and meaning for me personally. Center Panels This panel is a santuary for Ganesh.  The little window opens to reveal some of the attributes of Ganesh, he is the Lord of Protection and Refuse.

Go Easy

t This is what I did with the last background that I showed you.  I don't usually go in for pink but this felt right and this is also the first time using black paint.  I have a little tool I've made, from needlework grid. I cut it at the point where it leaves little "nobs" which I drag through the paint on the page. I was reading Joyce Lee's Notes to Self , which I find profoundly uplifting and used her wisdom for this spread. I quote: "I knowingly accept that I am a work in progress. I do understand that taking baby steps is the most I can do some days. I recognize my growth potential as I love and honor my path."  These are words I needed to hear!  I really needed to go easy with my self.  I've lost so many work hours and well you know, lots of idle time and no money!  Thank goodness for all my supplies!   I've been very strong!  No shopping!  It's times like this that make you dip a little deeper into your own soul and find the kind

 These bits and pieces are so cute!   I've been thinking about making "One Word Meditation" cards for a while and I think the composition of these would work out really well for that.   They sort of remind me of those perfectly serene  Japanese Zen gardens .  These rock gardens are said to be created so that no matter where you sit you cannot see all of the boulders and so goes the meditation. Of course, my cards are outrageously imperfect, as a matter of fact they are downright wild!  Each card will come with a relating splash of collage paper on the flap of the envelope.  Here are some with words just for fun but they are not the One Word Meditations words I will be using.  I'm still working out the aesthetics on how I want to display and attach them. Next in line are Valentine Cards which I think will look great with a wonky kind of heart. Anyway, Have a Merry Christmas and a wonderful and safe New Year's Eve.
